Alchemy

Alchemy
940 South Cooper Street
Memphis, TN  38104

Alchemy hasn't been opened for long in Cooper Young, but it has a consistent following.  It always has a crowd.  The lounge features tapas and has several Memphis inspired cocktails, like the Pink Palace and the Zippin Pippin.

They have a wrap around bar that is really a major focus of the restaurant.  It makes a large square and patrons can sit on three sides of it.

The kitchen has some openness, so you can watch the chefs at work.

I had a whiskey diet coke.  The drink is about $6.  The specialty drinks run about $10 or $11 dollars.

Garrett had the artisan cheese plate.  It had a variety of cheeses and some bread.  I enjoy tasting different types of cheeses.  It costs $15.

I had the roasted brussel sprouts with Benton's bacon, apples and spiced pecans.  It costs $9.  Bacon makes everything taste good.  I just recently began to enjoy brussel sprouts.

Previously, I have had the sliders that were topped with pimento cheese.  They are delicious.

Alchemy is a nice part of Cooper Young.  Surely, you have already tried it.
