The Boiling Point Seafood and Oyster Bar

The Boiling Point
4975 Pepper Chase Dr
Southaven, MS 38671

The Boiling Point is in Southaven.  I never go to Mississippi, even though this part is near Memphis, but I may have to start making an exception for this restaurant.

As a disclaimer, I went for a Yelp event.  I got to try a lot of food, but I didn't actually order any of it.

The first item that I got to sample was the crawfish dip.  OMG. I could have just eaten it and been happy.  It's warm and creamy with crawfish tails.

I also got to sample the firecracker shrimp.  I love shrimp, and I rarely like sauces on it, but this one was so tasty.  It's a sauteed shrimp in a spicy cream sauce.  It's the perfect amount of spice.  The owners said it's also in one of their pastas, the shrimp diablo.

Another appetizer that I got to sample was the fried green tomato.  It was fried to perfection, but to make it even tastier they added a bacon and shrimp cream sauce.  That's just sinful!  Sinfully delicious.

They also have raw oysters.  I love raw oysters.  According to the menu, they are about $15 a dozen.

They also have some specialty baked oysters.  They have oysters bienville, which is garlic cream, cheddar, shrimp, and mushrooms.  The St. Charles is is lump crabmeat stuffing and RĂ©moulade.  The Rockefeller is creamy spinach, parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs.  The final one is their signature ones which are stuffed with lobster meat, crawfish tails, and pepperjack cheese cream sauce.  They are all really rich and amazing.

They also have sandwiches, poboys, steaks, pastas, fried seafood and more.  They have a full bar, with a good sounding happy hour.

Next time I go, I'm going to try the Alaskan crab legs, and I will get more oysters.  They also have a brunch menu that I'd love to try.
