Young Avenue Deli is a staple in Cooper Young. Some coworkers and I frequent this place after work for happy hour. Unlike many of the other bars in the area, this one is non-smoking. It is fine to bring kids here, especially during the day. They also have pool tables. On the weekends, sometimes they have live music, and you have to pay a cover.
Their drinks are good and cheap. They also have a large beer selection. In addition, they have a menu of drink shooters. The shooters can also be made into a drink instead.
They also have a variety of food, including sandwiches. They also have vegetarian options. Their fries are well known in more than just Memphis. I love the chili cheese fries personally. I know that I'll be there soon for another happy hour.
