One day, Garrett and I went to Paradise Island to explore the Atlantis Hotel and the island.
There are palm trees everywhere.
This island is pretty much a resort. It had tons of shops in these little buildings.
I didn't eat the Ben and Jerry's, but this bench is awesome!
Here's a view of this monstrous hotel. No telling what the price tag on this place is. They also had a free movie theatre for guests. I mean a real theatre with regular movies at the theatre.
It also has a marina.
There is a casino in the hotel. I didn't think it was worth the risk, so we only walked through.
There are lots of little monuments sprinkled throughout the hotel.
There is a public beach and a private beach for guests, staying there.
We obviously went to the public beach. We tried to hit the private one, but they kept wanting to see a room key.
We shared a coconut drink. They split the coconut in front of us, added some pina colada mix and added some rum.
Afterwards, we started the trek back to the car. However, we decided to hit up a restaurant on the way, called Anthony's.
I decided I wanted to try Kalik Gold, known as Extra-Strength at 7% alcohol. I couldn't tell much of a taste different to be honest.
The restaurant had a full bar, with no beer on draft, which seems common.
Garrett had a frozen drink, called the Nutty Banana. It was good, a bit sweet. He says it tastes like banana bread.
We hung out till happy hour started and shared a $5 order of conch fritters. They are usually $10 here.
They're good, like hushpuppies made with calamari.
I am loving being in the Bahamas!
